I’ve spent a lot of time perfecting this yummy chicken recipe.
I’ve cooked chicken hundreds of times at this point and think I finally found the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. My favorite thing about this Spicy Marinate Recipe for Delicious Grilled Chicken. Is that you can prep it a few days ahead, stick it in your fridge and throw it on a hot grill when your ready.
You can also put it in your freezer to really let it soak in the flavors for a hot minute. When ready to use just thaw a few hours ahead of time.

With yummy fresh flavors that burst in your mouth. This Spicy Marinate Recipe for Delicious Grilled Chicken comes together super fast and is amazing on sandwhiches, with a side of rice (as previously mentioned.) Or, if you want to crank it up a notch. Use as a topping in kimchi ramen. It uses simple ingredients that I keep on hand in my refrigerator and is sure to become a family favorite.
In my house we like our food spicy! However you can easily adjust this recipe to your taste preferences! Just go less on the pepper flakes and gochujang.
My favorite way to cook this spicy marinated chicken is on the grill. But it also tastes amazing pan fried or even baked. I like to use chicken thighs because I find them to be most forgiving and they tend do not dry out as fast as chicken breast. – You can still use breast or even wings, just make sure to pay extra attention to your cook time.
While your grilling you might as well throw on some seasoned pineapple (recipe coming very soon)
You can leave out the hot honey drizzle at the end. I do think it really takes the chicken to a new level.
Ingredients:
Chicken Thighs: One pound of boneless skinless chicken thighs,
Olive Oil: I typically purchase from my local trader Jo’s
Soy Sauce: We prefer the low sodium version of this.
Gochujang Paste: This can be found in the international section of your local grocery store or you can purchase on amazon.
Lemon Juice: I squeeze half a lemon into my marinate and save the rest for on top. You can also add the zest of a lemon for extra flavor.
For Spices: you will need paprika, garlic powder, cayanne pepper, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes.
Lemon Juice: I think fresh squeezed is best but you can use whatever you have on hand.
Honey: I prefer to use either wildflower honey or a organic brand from Trader Jo’s
Hot Sauce: Franks hot sauce is a great option.
